Position Title: Advancement Director
Position Classification: Full-Time Exempt Position
Summary of the position: The Advancement Director leads the effort to secure financial resources for the organization through a
range of sources including donor gifts, planned gifts, foundation grants, government grants, and corporate giving that support Landmark’s annual operating, land acquisition campaigns, and endowment-building efforts. This position also implements the organization’s communications program in order to build awareness of the organization’s value, connect our mission to our various audiences,

Job Title: Stewardship Intern
Supervisor: Conservation Manager, Erika Lang and Stewardship Manager, Andrew Norman
Location: Bayfield, Wisconsin primarily
Application Deadline: March 4, 2019
Interview Timeline: Week of March 11, 2019
Internship Period: Approximately 13 weeks beginning May 29, 2019, and ending August 26, 2019. 12 weeks paid work, and one week of unpaid vacation.
Compensation: Paid internship for approximately 32 hours/week. Rate commensurate with experience. Mileage and expenses reimbursed per organizational policy.

Candlelight Walk Friday March 1, 2019
6:30 – 7:30pm
Park and meet at: Wild Rice Retreat 84860 Old San Road Bayfield, WI 54814 Candlelit luminaries will guide walkers along Bayfield’s beloved community trail – The Brownstone Trail. The walk begins and ends at Wild Rice Retreat, with parking and bathrooms available there. Approximately 1 mile round-trip. Cocoa and cookies will be provided at the end of the walk, while participants enjoy the fireplace on the deck. Also, for those who wish to participate, Happy Hour Yoga will take place at Wild Rice Retreat from 5:30 – 6:30 pm before the walk. And after the walk, participants can grab a bite to eat or a beverage, and enjoy live music by Mark Phillips at the retreat center. This walk is part of Bayfield Winterfest. 17th annual northern native plant sale Saturday June 1, 2019
9am – 1pm
City of Bayfield Lakeside Pavilion 2 East Front Street, Bayfield, WI 54814 This annual event features native plant vendors selling dozens of varieties of plants, along with experts on hand to answer questions and activities for kids. The sale is a one-day event, free to attend and open to the public. No online pre-sales. |
Birding and train ride in the tiffany wildlife area and lower chippewa river Saturday september 21, 2019
1-5pm
Hop aboard an antique open-air train to ride the rails into the remote areas of the Tiffany Wildlife Area. Along the way you’ll stop for short hikes to observe floodplain forests, wetlands, savannas, and prairies. Learn about the ecology of the area and migratory birds from Landmark Conservancy staff and bird experts. It will be peak time for fall migration - bring your binoculars! More details to come as we get closer to the event. |
